“Located in the emblematic San Telmo neighborhood, the gallery occupies a rationalist building from the 1940s. Its exhibition space, distributed across two floors, encompasses more than 200 square meters dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art. Galería COTT maintains a multidisciplinary program of eight exhibitions per year in both galleries, alongside the development of its artists’ projects in other venues and institutions”.

Statement

Based in Buenos Aires, Galería COTT is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2019, dedicated to the positioning and promotion of Argentine artists, with a sustained practice that bridges the local scene and an active presence in international fairs and institutions.

Located in the emblematic San Telmo neighborhood, the gallery occupies a rationalist building from the 1940s. Its exhibition space, distributed across two floors, encompasses more than 200 square meters dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art. Galería COTT maintains a multidisciplinary program of eight exhibitions per year in both galleries, alongside the development of its artists’ projects in other venues and institutions.
The curatorial framework of Galería COTT is articulated through two complementary lines. One is a research-driven approach connected to territory, ecology, and natural materialities in dialogue with Indigenous cosmovisions. The other focuses on a symbolic and surreal approach, with an emphasis on contemporary painting. Together, these lines shape a program oriented toward the research, production, and circulation of Argentine contemporary art.
